This past week Grandma Jan (she thinks she wants to be called MiMi -- we are testing out names for her!) came to visit Caroline (and Laurie and I!). Caroline was 10 weeks old and is learning how to "talk" or coo which is so cute. She has found both of her hands and likes to put both of them in her mouth at the same time. She holds her head up very well and loves to look around. We took her to her baby class this week -- she is, of course, at the top of her class. We also visited with Aunt Laurie and Uncle Crispin. She had her first trip to our favorite Mexican Sunday buffet at Joannafina's and was serenaded by the Mariachi band there. We had a great visit and are sad to see MiMi leave!!

Day at the Santa Ynez Wineries
On Saturday, April 7, Caroline made her first trip the Santa Ynez wine country -- a favorite of her parents. As our brother-in-law, Crispin (Laurie's husband) had all 4 of his brothers in town, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and headed up the wine country. We visited Sunstone Winery and Beckman -- Caroline was an angel in the car and enjoyed the time laying in her sun tent (along with Aunt Laurie -- see the pictures). Never too early to introduce her to the finer things in life!

My First Easter
Well the Easter Bunny came this year but it didn't bring any candy for little Caroline as she has no teeth yet -- wait till next year. We spent Easter this year with Aunt Laurie, Uncle Crispin and all of Crispin's brothers. Needless to say there was a feast and we still had fun taking pictures with Caroline and the bunny things! She even looks like she went hunting for Easter eggs with the little basket that Aunt Laurie gave her!
