Next stop... St. Louis to visit the grandparents!

Caroline and I flew from St. Louis to Boston to visit with my parents and family who were dying to meet her. Needless to say, Caroline was spoiled with her feet barely touching the ground. Though she was on the ground long enough to learn to roll from her back to her stomach. This child has stomach and back muscles we all would wish for as she throws her legs up in the air and catapults herself over to her stomach! Caroline was able to visit with Great Aunt Rita and Great Uncle Wayne (who live next door to my parents!), Great Grandma Hamilton, her Aunt Katie and all her cousins and friends that came to visit. She enjoyed her baths and her little "room" at Grandma and Grandpa's house while Mommy was able to have some rest time. We will look forward to visiting again!

Boston at last!!

Our final stop on the tour of the northeast was Boston where Ken Deckinger (another of Trent's friends from high school) was getting married. The weather was amazing and we took the time to show Caroline the sites from the Freedom Trail to a true New England lobster. She was a great baby with all the walking as she loves facing out in her Baby Bjourn and people watching! She also laughed out loud for the first time at her Daddy. Ken and Jessica's wedding was absolutely gorgeous and an amazing time was had by all. Caroline even made it to the dance floor with her Mommy and Daddy for some traditional Jewish dancing.

Heading up the coast...

After we left the New York area, we headed up the east coast to Newport, Rhode Island and Cape Cod, Massachusetts -- both amazing boating areas and beautiful scenery. We did the Cliff Walk of all the mansions in Newport and enjoyed some time at the beach in Cape Cod... so at this point, Caroline has been to 5 states and counting... and she is only 3 months! Her eyes are as clear blue as the ocean you see behind us and she has her daddy's long eyelashes -- lucky girl!

Caroline's First Vacation

Now you knew that being Trent and Heather's daughter that Caroline was not going to have her feet on solid ground for long so at 3 months we took her on her first airplane ride and vacation. Our first stop was Denville, New Jersey to visit Heather's friend Madeline Grob and her family. We attended Craig Shirey's wedding (Trent's friend from high school) in Brooklyn as well. Caroline had a little trouble adjusting to the change in the time zones and new bed but was good as gold on the plane! Here are a couple of photos of the events...

Three Months Old...

Today Caroline is officially three months old. I don't know where the time has gone! She has changed quite a bit from the sleepy little newborn we brought home from the hospital. She is sleeping much better for one (with fingers crossed!). She wakes up usually once a night and is pretty good about going back to sleep. She loves to lay on the floor and play and loves her spider, butterly and lion toys -- also loves the touch and feel books that Aunt Rita sent. She likes her tummy time and on May 1, she rolled over for the first time and I thought it was a fluke but it has happened three times since then so we will see! She is a smiling and happy baby -- she doesn't like to have her clothes changed or sit in the car seat -- we are working on these as mommy likes to be on the go! When Aunt Katie was out, she helped us to do a 3 month photo shoot so check out some of our favorite shots. We are loving all of our time with baby Caroline and can't imagine life without her!

Beautiful Day at the Beach

It was gorgeous out today so we took Caroline to the beach to get her feet in the sand and actually wear a shorts outfit! She liked her toes in the sand and I think Mommy and Daddy got a bigger kick out of it than Caroline as she fell asleep in her Baby Bjourn as we walked!

Caroline goes bowling!!

Aunt Katie and Kevin came to visit and we had a great time. It was a little bit windy but we still managed to get some sun. They were along for Caroline's first trip to Casa de Soria (our favorite Mexican restaurant) and bowling -- only in CA as every other state would be way too smoky! She was fantastic at the lanes but I would not say the same for the rest of the bowlers as the highest score was 100.
