Beach Day

Finally our September weather cooperated and we had a great beach day. The kids are always loving it when they have a chance to go to the beach. Caroline and Andrew love the waves and Hannah is a little hesitant of them because I think her eczyma bothers her and stings her in the waves but she loves to dig in the sand nonetheless. We had a gorgeous day!

Bath time

At some point all three of them are not going to fit in the bathtub so I thought I should get pictures now because I am sure that time is going to come sooner than later. It is a love / hate relationship in the tub. Andrew loves to pull hair, the girls hate to have it pulled. Hannah loves to lay down in the tub, the other two hate it because they have no room. Andrew loves to splash, Mommy hates that as she gets all wet. Overall, they love their bathtime!

Disneyland!!

Trent had his company picnic at Disneyland this year which was wonderful! Never are you able to go for a whole family for less than $100!! AND, thanks to my most wonderful neighbor, Andrew was able to stay with her for the day and just the girls made the trip. We had a FANTASTIC time! At the luncheon, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald all came to visit so we got to have as much time as we wanted with them which was great b/c when I saw the lines out in the park to see them, I was so grateful! The girls loved seeing them, Hannah asking to "touch Mickey's ears and Minnie's bow" and Caroline giving them hugs. They loved the park rides as well -- Dumbo ride, the teacups, Sleeping Beauty's Carousel.... you name it, we went on every one. We took some time to rest and watched the parade which was fantastic. Disney does not do anything halfway -- the costumes were exquisite, dancing perfect, even all of the dancers / performers teeth were perfectly white. We also enjoyed Frontierland and Adventureland which we hadn't really checked out before. Even after dark, the girls (mainly Caroline) wanted to keep riding the rides and seeing the sites. We had a great day with them!

Andrew say "cheese"

Andrew is still such a smiley baby. Whenever I have the camera out, he follows me around with it saying "cheese" and then he poses for his picture! He is learning to stand up all by himself and has taken a couple of tiny steps but is still too unsure to start walking. I'm keeping my fingers crossed he walks sooner than Hannah did. We are tired of the dirty pants and hands all the time! He loves playing with his sisters and trying out their toys including their crayons, markers and Play-doh! He also keeps them laughing. He does this funny thing where he scrunches up his nose and breathes really hard -- Daddy calls him the bull. He is a good eater so far and likes Mommy's cooking which is a good thing. He just loves to snuggle up to me and is learning to play by himself very well also which is giving Mommy back a little of her sanity!

Caroline's firsts

Caroline has been busy this summer and getting older every day. She had her first sleepover at the beginning of August at our neighbor, Isabelle's house. She was so excited as they have both been talking about it forever. She said she slept good and loved the idea of Isabelle's trundle bed. When she woke up in the morning, she said it was the best day of her life.

She also started back to preschool in the Pelican's class and absolutely loves it constantly asking if today is a school day. She loves creating things and has made her own kite, house decorations, games and countless works of art. I am running out of wall space! She has been playing soccer and seems to really enjoy that and is quite aggressive little player wanting to get the ball and score.

She is definitely keeping busy and I just love hanging out with her as she is always coming up with great ideas and things to do. There is never a dull moment!

Hannah and the pirate princess

Hannah, oh Hannah...I have one child that loves to dress up as a fireman or superhero and I have one that LOVES her tutus. She comes to me every morning and says, "Mommy, where's my princess dress?" in that cute little raspy voice. She has worn it countless times (with the heels) to drop Caroline off at school, to the grocery store, to the park, you name it. She had a complete fit when I had to wash it and asked about it for days -- I had to hand wash it and it took a few days to dry. That child loves to dress up!

Grandma and Papa arrived for a visit!

Grandma and Papa came for a visit when Aunt Laurie and Uncle Crispin had their new little baby Evan. He is absolutely adorable and we loved getting to meet him and having my parents come to visit as well. The kids loved getting the chance to hang out with them and we were finally able to get a picture of all the grandkids together.
