The Things They Do...

I sometimes wish that we could just make time stand still and have Caroline stay a certain age forever. And then, she gets a little older and does some other cute thing and I would like to freeze her at that age. Well, this age is one of them. She is so expressive, curious and trying new things all the time. She says Momma all the time and I like to pretend that she is talking to me (though I am sure she isn't, though when she wants to get out of her crib, I'm not so sure she doesn't know exactly what she is doing!). She can stand up in her crib which is the cutest thing to wake up to in the morning. She is standing there banging her hands on the crib looking at us like, didn't you know I was awake in here?? It is not so funny when she is trying to take a nap and stands up to throw her binky out and screams for you to come and get it -- not a fun game! She has discovered our outside garden as well but she thinks the reflection of herself is much more interesting than all the plants. She tries to give her reflection a kiss... so cute!!

Thanksgiving was a great day as we had Aunt Laurie and Uncle Crispin over along with our neighbors, Lara and Douglass with their little one, Lily. Caroline wasn't sure about the turkey, but she loved the mashed potatoes! Enjoy the pictures!

Peek-a-Boo

It is hard to believe that Caroline is already 9 months old -- the time is flying by! Caroline loves to play peek-a-boo whether it is in her bed or behind the curtains. She also loves her little table that she can pull up to and make music -- in fact she loves anything that she can pull up to!Seems like there is a new trick everyday. Check out the video at the bottom!

Buzzing in for Halloween

I hate to brag on my own child, but she was so darn cute in her Halloween costume -- she even let the hood stay on her head for quite a while. She enjoyed chewing on the wrappers of the candy (which made the candy inside nice and soggy -- good so Mommy and Daddy won't eat it!). We had a beautiful night and got together with some friends and Caroline's friends for trick or treating. Enjoy the pictures!! So sorry that some of them are sideways -- I can't figure out how to flip them around!!

Great-Grandma Hamilton turns 90!!

Caroline and I along with my sister, Laurie, surprised my grandma in St. Louis by showing up for her 90th birthday -- we almost gave her a heart attack. She cried as she was so excited that we made it in for her birthday. My cousin William also drove in from Ole Miss for the big day as well -- it was fantastic! We took Grandma to the pumpkin patch with Caroline one day and these are some of the photos. Hard to believe that she is almost 9 months. She is now scooting everywhere and is pulling up to stand to get to what she wants as evidenced by the video below.

She's a little bitty duck...

Swimming in the water....Caroline has a new "bathtub".... her very own, very large, rubber duckie. She loves it as evidenced by the pictures. She is a water baby and loves splashing and, of course, chewing on the duck. Makes bathtime all that much more fun!

Pumpkin Patch

Caroline had her first taste of fall and the pumpkin patch (though it was 85 degrees when we went!) and the pictures turned out adorable. The yellow poncho she is wearing in some of them was mine from when I was a baby. Though it was 85 degrees, we made her wear it for the pictures sake. She loved sitting on the pumpkins and, in true baby form, wanted to put all the pumpkins in her mouth. Enjoy!! (Sorry, I still haven't figured out how to rotate the pictures!!)

Looks like chocolate....

But, unfortunately, for Caroline, it is just prunes -- we'll have to introduce chocolate when she can get past the sweet potatoes and peas. Baby food, what a concept, take every fruit and vegetable and put it in a blender and then wala -- dinner is served. I learned last week when I wasn't feeling so well that the smell of those foods is not the most appetizing either. It's amazing we all ever decide we like to eat!

I guess the eating gives Caroline more energy and mobility though as you can see from this picture, she has figured out her way to crawl under the coffee table and the fireplace. The true baby invasion has occurred as Trent and I will have to "babyproof" the house.
