Fourth of July turned out to be one of the more beautiful days we have had and to have it on a Friday making it a 3 day weekend -- another bonus! Our day started out with a little hometown parade and Caroline was convinced that she wanted to be a part of it. Well she could have been with her little strawberry hat -- she fit right in! Our neighbors had a big party at their house in the afternoon where the kids got to play and the parents got to socialize with drinks so fun was had by all. Caroline couldn't keep her little eyes open until the fireworks but she had a great time to say the least.

Outside
Caroline is always wanting to go outside from the time she wakes up to the time she goes to sleep. Last night we had a BBQ with our friends, Steve and Erin and their little boys. The kids had a great time at the pool and running around everywhere as you can see from the pictures. And I'm working on trying to get the videos to work. There seems to be some glitches.

Getting so big...
Well just look at the picture. I think she looks so old for some reason. Maybe it is the mini Keds or the face. I just don't know but it seems to me that she got big overnight!! Mostly this posting is about the video below -- she is actually saying some words. Now she has been saying words for a while now, I just have never been able to get them on video. These are the three words that Daddy confirms are "real words" which means that she says them like an adult. She says many other words but they are a little harder to understand. But these three words... Hello, baby and Momma are very easy to understand. Trent even thinks that when she says "Momma" she is saying it with an Italian accent. I don't know where she would've learned that...!

Visit to Florida

Caroline just had her 16th plane flight -- to Florida to visit Gaga and Papa. We had a great visit seeing Uncle Tye and Aunt Kelly and cousin Abby as well. We went on the Intercoastal on the boat, picnicked at the park and played at the beach. What a great concept --- a warm ocean! Caroline (after some hesitation) decided she liked the crashing waves and playing in the wet sand. She even learned to say "Abby" and I almost cried when she finally said "Momma". Who would've thought it would've taken so long?

Duck, duck, goose!
We spent the morning at the Duck park today with Caroline's "boy" friends -- Gordie, Andrew and Kyle and Caroline was not going to let them show her up. She ran down the ducks, slid down the hill after them, splashed in their puddles and then laid in their puddles. She was by far the dirtiest of all the kids! We had a great time playing and would love to go back again but I don't know if the ducks will want us back. We brought food for the ducks but much to the duck's dismay, Caroline ate the bread that we brought for the them. Hopefully she will learn for the next time!
Duck, duck, goose!
We spent the morning at the Duck Park with Caroline's "boy" friends, Gordie, Andrew and Kyle. But you would've thought that Caroline was the boy. She was interested in the ducks alright, chasing them down, sliding down the hill after them, splashing and then laying in the puddles. She was by far the dirtiest of all the kids-- who said little girls are dainty?? We had a great time playing but I don't know if the ducks will want us back. After all, Caroline, instead of feeding the ducks the bread, decided to eat it herself, much to the duck's dismay!

Pigtails, pony tails and other things that go on the head
Caroline's hair is growing like a weed. I went away on my trip and I swear it grew an inch when I came back. So mostly I took these pictures and this video so you can see her pigtails in her hair and her fascination with this bowl -- putting it on her head, sitting in it. You get the picture. We have put a few "play things" in our mini backyard and she is in heaven. I think if she could sleep outside every night, she would. She lovessssss it outside!
